An NYPD officer was on duty one day when he came across an animal in distress he couldn’t ignore. Michael Pascale found a little dog chained out in the rain while in a public park, and the poor thing was shivering and surrounded by broken beer bottles and needles. The dog’s eyes stared up at the cop as if to say, “Help me.”

Officer Pascale wasn’t leaving without helping the dog and getting him out of there. He took the pup to the Brooklyn ACC where the dog would have to undergo a mandatory 72-hour hold to see if an owner popped up. But Michael promised the dog, “I’ll be back. Don’t worry.” He texted his wife about the situation to which she replied, “Bring him home!”

Now they played the waiting game. The cop would go visit Joey as often as possible to keep him company. And then the hold was finally over, and Michael was ready to take the dog home! “Nothing like that is ever gonna happen to him again,” he declared. It all worked out in the end, and these two were just meant to be. 🙂

Bulldog Ellery Max was born with a rare deformity – he had an extra leg! Vets didn’t think he would even make it past a few hours. Even his breeder didn’t think it was worth raising him. But Ellery fought on, and eventually ended up in a local shelter in Southern California.

When Laura Lee Labelle from The Labelle Foundation heard about Ellery, she immediately decided to foster him. Laura went the extra mile to make sure that Ellery had a fair chance at life. Ellery had many developmental delays. He opened his eyes after 3 long weeks. He wasn’t able to ingest formula too.

But Laura kept on pestering him until he swallowed the food. Her efforts bore fruit, as Ellery started growing up like a healthy puppy within the next few months! As Ellery started getting bigger, his extra leg stopped growing. It would just dangle on his backside, making it difficult for him to move around. So when Ellery was strong enough, Laura got the extra leg surgically removed.

Ellery is very much a normal pup now, but to Laura, he will always be extra special. Ellery loves being the boss dog of his foster home and always welcomes new friends with open paws. A mother’s love is like no other. For a sweet dog who was responsible for a litter of pups, her world came crashing down when one of them was severely injured. Likely from a stray dog attack.

The puppy later named Toggle, lay helpless on the street while his mother cried and cried, begging for help. Finally, someone listened. Animal Aid Unlimited got the call about the injured baby and rushed to the scene. Many mothers are too overcome with worry and grief to understand that the rescuers are there to help. But not this mom. Her intuition immediately kicked in and she allowed the rescue worker to pick up Toggle and bring him to the medical center. Mama stayed behind to care for the rest of her litter. Resources are scarce and the medical team had to focus on Toggle.

At the center, Toggle was cleaned up and his wound was tended to. He couldn’t walk due to the severity of his wounds. He had to rest and heal, and of course, build up his strength.

The team took excellent care of Toggle. And he made tremendous strides, quickly. The adorable pup was certainly brave. Once Toggle recovered, he was brought back to someone who missed him dearly. When his mom sees him, prepare for the waterworks! Mom and son are both elated!

Once Mama is done nursing her pups, the medical team will bring her in to spay her. For now, the little family is just happy to be back together. Mama’s cries, although heartbreaking, were heard! Her precious son is alive today thanks to the kindness and big hearts of Animal Aid!

When a selfish breeder had a nearly perfect litter of Bulldog babies, she was thrilled. She knew she could sell them for plenty of money. But one puppy wasn’t perfect. The little Bulldog baby was born with a leg deformity. Some breeders will euthanize puppies they cannot sell. And while we consider this totally cruel and unnecessary, this breeder did the unthinkable.

The breeder took the puppy up the street and dumped him as if he were a piece of trash. It was snowing out and his little body became buried quickly. He just lied there totally helpless. His little cries were finally heard by a passerby who then wrapped the puppy up and rushed him to the vet. His leg, which could’ve been addressed and treated at birth, had become necrotic.

The passerby saved the puppy’s life. Had he laid there merely 30 minutes more, he would have died of hypothermia. Once the pup was safely at the vet, the vet’s staff called a local rescue knowing they would need to pool their resources together. This little one needed treatment and eventually a loving home. The rescue group named the puppy Draper.

Draper was so tiny! The vet said he needed to be put in the warmer immediately. While Draper warmed up and finally slept, the vet treated his leg. He wasn’t sure if the wound would heal but what was most important was that Draper was now safe!

In a week, Draper began to open his eyes more and his new human friends considered this a miracle. He even drank from a bowl all by himself. His tiny face was a constant reminder of his innocence. And how anyone could be so mean to this tiny puppy was unthinkable!

Draper went to his foster home once the vet medically cleared him. His leg is healing great. It’s still a possibility that it will need to be amputated. It’ll all depend on the healing process and his ability to get around. However, so far, he gets around just fine!

Little Draper is very comfortable in his foster home. He has also made a new friend. His foster mom’s cat is particularly fond of the puppy and lays with him often. She loves to watch him play too. The sweet cat even purrs when Draper is around. Draper likes her too!

Draper’s foster mom absolutely adores him. Draper will grow up and find a forever home because of a kind passerby and a team of amazing people. We are so grateful for his rescue and recovery.

Nino is a lovable 8-month-old Pittie that takes advantage of every nap opportunity he gets. After a long day spent at the beach with his favorite humans, he couldn’t help but pass out in an adorable way.

Kamilla Ferreira adopted Nino when he was just 4 months old. He quickly became the talk of the neighborhood due to his friendly personality, greeting everyone he meets with an eager tail wag and a kiss.

People sometimes get scared of his tough looks, but a couple of minutes and they’re enchanted. He welcomes people on the street with such happiness … People know him by name in our neighborhood.” – Kamilla Ferreira

While Nino loves everyone he meets, he especially loves his human sis, Carol. Carol is Kamilla’s teenage sister who shares Nino’s love of quick power naps. Kamilla states that when Carol and Nino are together, there is always a nap involved.

Kamilla and Carol knew Nino would enjoy a day spent at the beach, so they set out to introduce Nino to the sea for the very first time. Nino spent the day running through the water and enjoying the sand between his toes, causing him to be tuckered out by the end of their adventure.

Nino hopped into the backseat with Carol when it was time to leave the beach, allowing the two to cuddle on the long drive home. Carol quickly passed out once the engine started, with Nino following suit soon after. Kamilla looked back at the two comfortably napping with each other and immediately pulled out her camera to capture the sweet moment.

The video first begins with Nino fighting the sleep monster with all his might, eventually losing his battle to the soothing hum of the vehicle. After swaying from side to side before finding a comfortable position, Nino soon finds the perfect spot on Carol’s shoulder.

The two professional nappers dozed the entire way home, further strengthening their special bond. Little did they know, they would soon become internet sensations.

On a pup’s way to becoming a dog, a pup must learn the essentials. Going potty, playing fetch and interacting with other dogs are all apart of growing up. Language is as well. Learning to howl is a must for a Husky; the breed tends to be very vocal. This pup knows that his training has to start early if he wants to be a total bad-a$$

However, this adorable fluff nugget is new at this and howling takes a lot of energy. And obviously a lot of practice. ????

The pup sits up straight, reaches deep inside himself, and bolts out a howl. Except his howl sounds more like Chewbacca than a Husky. Wait for it! At 46 seconds in, I almost lost my mind! I’ve heard of cuteness overload but this video is ridiculous! Its cuteness is off the charts! The pup’s howl just gets better and better!

My drab day turned right around after watching this (admittingly 3 times) so I shared it with some friends and those friends shared it with their friends. This little guy just cured the blah-day-blues for lots of people. Don’t be selfish and keep him all to yourself!

Spencer and Rocky were two peas in a pod for nearly 10 years. The two pups spent every moment at each other’s side, forming a beautiful friendship that has touched so many hearts.

Beth Fisher always loved the fact that her two fur babies were such dear friends. Their time spent together was always filled with so much love, making what came next so heartbreaking.

“Rocky and Spencer slept in the same bed, ate from the same bowl and always walked together when they went out. They never spent a night apart.” – Beth Fisher

Rocky’s health began to decline close to his 10th birthday. Beth knew it was time to visit their veterinarian, where they received devastating news that changed their lives forever.

Rocky had a large internal tumor that was diagnosed as cancerous. In discovering this tumor so late in its development, there was nothing they could do to save him. Rocky would only begin to suffer, giving her no other choice than to say goodbye.

“Rocky had to get put down that day. It was hard to process Rocky’s sudden death, but we can’t imagine how hard it must be for Spencer to have lost his little brother.” – Beth Fisher

Coming home without Rocky was one of the hardest things Beth has ever had to do. Not only did her home feel empty without his presence, but Spencer was devastated as well.

In being so attached to Rocky, Spencer had no idea what to do without his best furry friend. The grieving pup was absolutely heartbroken, and it began to show as the days went on.

“Since Rocky passed, Spencer has been getting up in the night to wander the house looking for his brother. And then he starts crying because he can’t find him.” – Beth Fisher

Rocky’s ashes were placed on the shelf directly above where he and Spencer use to sleep, but it was not enough to help his grieving brother. In an effort to bring him the comfort he desperately needed, Spencer was given a special gift.

Spencer’s fur parents surprised him with a pillow with Rocky’s smiling face on it. From the moment he saw his best friend in front of him again, his aching heart gave a sigh of relief.

“Spencer has been cuddling into the pillow since it arrived, carrying it from the sofa to his own bed. He seems a lot more settled now that he’s got something to cuddle into.” – Beth Fisher

Spencer now gets to face the day with his best furry friend at his side again. Nothing can bring back the joy of having Rocky in his life, but we hope this pillow brings him the comfort he needs to move forward.

We all have the perfect dog in mind. Some people adore active dogs so they can have a running buddy, while others prefer fluffy dogs to cuddle with. But any true dog lover knows that a dog shouldn’t be judged solely by their size or appearance. A dog’s personality is what should matter most when choosing a furry friend.

When Sheridan Oliver Martin asked her husband Sinclair for a Chihuahua, he instantly told her he didn’t like little dogs. But when she finally convinced him, his whole world changed. Suddenly, Sinclair fell in love with a tiny Chihuahua and started spoiling her like crazy.

Meet Pickles!

Sinclair was used to having big tough dogs like their Pit Bull and German Shepherd mix named Merlin. He assumed all small dogs were “yappy and mean.” But Sheridan grew up with small dogs, so she wouldn’t stop asking for a Chihuahua. Finally, Sinclair caved and told her she could get one for her birthday.

“I remember the whole week before and the entire car ride there he lectured me about how she was going to be my responsibility and my dog and he wasn’t going to have anything to do with her,” Sheridan recalled.

But then they adopted Pickles. The moment Sinclair met the Chihuahua puppy, he suddenly realized the stereotypes were wrong. Pickles was sweet and cuddly right away, so the couple couldn’t help but fall in love.

Suddenly, Sinclair took back all the bad things he said about Chihuahuas. He agreed that he would help care for Pickles as much as needed. And as it turns out, he wanted to take care of her more often than Sheridan did.

Love All Dogs

With Pickles around, Sinclair quickly realized you should never judge a dog by their looks or breed. The pup is so lovable that she even made him adore small dogs. He puts sweaters on her, wipes her muddy paws, and even tucks her into bed at night. It’s the complete opposite of what he expected to happen.

Pickles also became an excellent companion for Merlin. The little dog is active and loves to play with dogs that tower over her. She plays with Merlin on a daily basis, and he gets tuckered out well before she does. Her lively personality has even made other “small dog haters,” such as Sheridan’s dad, fall in love.

“Pickles has all the personality of a 100-pound dog in a 5-pound body,” Sheridan said. “She makes everyone laugh because she makes really funny human facial expressions, like she knows something you don’t know, or is smug, or just looks really, really happy.”

Sweet little Pickles makes more people fall in love with her every day. Many people tend to assume that they dislike dogs of certain sizes or breeds, but when it comes down to it, all dogs can be sweet and lovable with the right family. And it’s clear that Pickles has found the place where she truly belongs! Sinclair has even mentioned that he wants two more Chihuahuas now because of her.

The stray animal population has sadly gotten worse in poverty-stricken areas. Having pets spayed or neutered is considered a luxury. Unwanted puppies are dumped on the streets, and it’s simply heartwrenching.

One puppy was heard crying her tiny lungs out. Covered in ticks and fleas, this poor baby needed proper care. Thankfully, rescuers came as quickly as they could. They had never seen such a horrific infestation. It was later revealed by security cameras that a heartless woman dumped the poor puppy in this condition. Who could be so cruel?

The rescuers did not hesitate. They took the baby straight to the vet. They named the sweet puppy ‘Balloon’.

The medical staff treated her for anemia and malnourishment. She quickly turned around after proper medical care, rest, and lots of affection.

The best part about Balloon’s rescue video (which can be seen below), is that it showcases her beautiful transformation after medical care. Because of the rescuers’ quick response, she gets better quickly! The sweet pup then goes to her foster home and can be seen happily playing like the cute puppy she is!

While she was surely suffering, her health made a complete turnaround. Balloon transforms into who she was always meant to be. It doesn’t take long for her to find a new mom and forever home. Her new mom adores Balloon and has pledged to always look out for her (and spoil her rotten!)

The puppy who was helpless on the street can now be seen around town in adorable outfits, strutting her stuff on walks with her mom. She loves to play and be held. While we can never know for sure what dogs remember, we are sure that Balloon is in good, loving hands and will never suffer like that again!

Thank you to all the animal rescuers, especially in areas where medical care is solely based on volunteer work and small donations. Animals, like Balloon, should never be abandoned. There is simply no excuse for this. If your pet needs to be rehomed, reach out to local shelters and rescue groups.

Charles and Nicole Lever fell in love with a photo of a broken Pit Bull when scrolling through a local rescue’s photos. The Pixel Fund saved the pitiful pup from a kill shelter on the day he was set to be euthanized and gave him a second chance at life.

Rescuers from the Pixel Fund came across Tatum when searching for needy pups around the U.S. He was covered in sores and extremely underweight. They knew they needed to step in and offer him the support he deserved. Tatum was rescued just in the nick of time.

Once Tatum was in the care of the Pixel Fund, they began to share his story with their dedicated followers. It wasn’t long before Tatum found the forever family of his dreams, and was in the loving arms of Charles and Nicole Lever.

From the moment Tatum entered the Lever home, it was clear he had a troubling past. He has several scars, his teeth are worn down to nubs, and his tail has clearly been broken at some point in the past. Aside from his poor physical appearance, Tatum was timid and slow to open up to his new family.

It took some time, but Tatum finally realized he was in a safe and loving environment. The broken pup began to come out of his shell and show off the fun-loving personality that has gained him so much popularity.

In getting to know Tatum, the couple began to film his daily antics and share the videos with friends online. They even gave Tatum an adorable voice throughout these videos, making for hilarious moments with viral potential. Before they knew it, Tatum was an internet sensation!

Tatum’s hilarious voice spread across the internet, creating a dedicated fan base on multiple platforms. He now has 2 million followers on TikTok, 285,000 followers on Instagram, and millions of views combined on each platform.
