A puppy’s first night can be challenging and overwhelming. For any pup in a new home, his surroundings can be intimidating. That is why it is our job, as new parents, to acclimate our little angels by making them feel safe and loved.

One little fella was adopted into a loving family. The tiny puppy can be seen sitting next to Dad on the sofa. He’s not quite sure what to make of his new home. But one thing he knows for certain is that this human beside him is a stellar guy. He did choose him, after all. The puppy is sleepy and wants nothing more than to snuggle with his new father.

The puppy worms his way closer to Dad. He knows if he drifts off, this is the perfect spot. He rests his tiny head on Dad’s shoulder then appears to be whispering into his ear. The puppy gets comfy and before long, it’s snooze-ville. His puppy sweetness is off the charts! Dad plays it cool but you know he’s absolutely bursting with love.

A heartwarming story of bravery and compassion has captured the attention of animal lovers around the world. When a dog fell over the Ancoats Canal wall and was struggling to keep swimming, a group of students from Manchester, England, sprang into action to save the petrified pup.

Dabhidh MchicEamailinn captured the dramatic rescue on camera as six students formed a human chain and lowered the tallest student, named Ben, down to reach the dog. Ben, a dog owner himself, was determined to save the struggling animal and jumped down to reach him. It took more than one try, but eventually, Ben was able to grab the dog by the collar and help him reach the wall.

With all their strength, the students pulled Ben and the dog up to safety, and spectators cheered as the paws of the drenched dog were placed back on solid ground. The video of the rescue quickly went viral, with over 80 thousand likes on YouTube.

As an animal lover, it’s heartening to see people come together to save a pet in distress. The bravery and compassion shown by these students remind us of the importance of kindness and empathy towards all living creatures.

Firefighters from Cobb County Fire & Emergency Services in Cobb County, Georgia, rescued a dog named Trixie from a storm drain system and reunited her with her truck driver owner. Trixie, who travels with her owner, fell 12 feet into the sewer system and was trapped. The firefighters arrived on the scene and dropped an air monitoring device to assess the situation before setting up a rope system to lower a firefighter into the drain system. The firefighter rescued Trixie, who came right to the firefighter and was “happy to be rescued.” After a quick visit to the vet, Trixie was found to be a little banged up but will be okay.

The department shared a photo of the touching moment when Trixie reunited with her owner. Many people thanked the fire crew for their quick actions in rescuing Trixie. Dogs are beloved companions, and the truck driver’s love for Trixie was evident. It must have been terrifying for the owner to lose Trixie like that, but thankfully, the firefighters were able to reunite them. The post Firefighters rescue truck driver’s dog from storm drain, reunite her with owner appeared first on G2a-ltc.

Animal control workers in Tuscola County, Michigan were in a race against time to capture a stray dog that had been wandering around the county for weeks, just before a winter storm hit. The Tuscola County Animal Control had been receiving reports about the dog since February 3, with sightings being reported in Fairgrove, Caro, and Mayville. The stray and abandoned dog, named Wanda the Wanderer by the animal control officers, couldn’t be captured despite several attempts by the officers.

However, a South Lyon Animal Rescue group donated some cameras to help track the wandering dog, and cages were put in areas she frequented. One cage was put in a safe mode, so it wouldn’t close on her but would build trust. Finally, the dog was trapped in a cage on Monday near Reese. Officer Anthony Trevino, who has been working tirelessly to rescue the dog, watched the rescue operation live on video and described it as “a pretty exciting situation to watch.”

The dog, which was so elusive and untrusting at first, doesn’t seem to be that way now. The animal control officers estimate that the dog had put on a good 100 miles on her journey. Trevino believes that the dog is a Chesapeake Bay Retriever, pit bull mix. The animal control officers will give her some medical attention and try to find a new home for her.

Animal control officers named her Wanda the Wanderer. Trevino credits Marianne Daily, Judy Dillon, and Bry Galganski for playing big parts in helping get the dog to safety. It’s heartwarming to see people come together to help a stray animal in need, especially during tough weather conditions.

Last week, a couple was driving along a highway in North Carolina when they observed something peculiar. A dumped suitcase was lying on the highway up ahead, and it appeared to be moving.

When the pair slowed down, they saw it: a little nose poking out of a corner of a bag that had been unzipped. They hurriedly opened the luggage and surprise found four adorable pups inside.

After grabbing the puppies, the two drove to Guilford County Animal Services. A member of the shelter staff came across them in the parking lot and didn’t believe them when they said they had found a bag full of pups. It seemed so ridiculous. But gradually he saw the four youthful faces.

The staff member told The Dodo, “We all expressed disbelief that someone would do that.

All of the female puppies lacked faith in their new guardians, maybe afraid that these strangers would also abandon them. They gradually adapted after coming into the shelter, and the compassionate rescue team has been demonstrating what love is like to them.

They are quite afraid and shy, the shelter official continued. The staff member explained, “Our staff is interacting and playing with them since the medical team indicates they haven’t had much human interaction.”

The puppies’ names, Tumi, Samsonite, Stowaway, and Carion (as in “carry on”), are luggage and travel-related.

The puppies will be placed up for adoption and given the chance to find their forever families once they have undergone the necessary medical examinations and socialization.

These puppies were previously left behind, but because to the quick eyes of two good samaritans, they will never have to worry about being forgotten again.

Actress Demi Moore is truly living the dream, folks. I don’t mean the fact that she’s a famous, prolific actress. Demi Moore is living the dream (my dream) by having nine dogs in her family.

The number of pups in the pack is a bit more manageable given the fact that they’re all small dogs. Plus, seven are technically Moore’s, and two are her daughter’s. Regardless: what a life for a dog lover!

The Moore “Crew”

On National Dog Day (August 26th), Moore posted a tribute to her dog pack on Instagram. The photos show Moore with a hefty crew of little canines. Most seem to be Chihuahua mixes, and all are under 15 pounds.

In the post, she refers to Pilaf as her “little shadow.” It’s true that the tiny brown and white dog accompanies Moore almost everywhere. Pilaf has had quite a cultured life, having been to the Louvre in Paris and the French Open.

Demi Moore was previously married to musician Freddy Moore, actor Bruce Willis, and actor Ashton Kutcher. After three husbands, the 59-year-old star of Ghost and Striptease has no plans to re-marry.

These days she’s single and perfectly content with her dogs. In a 2020 interview, she shared:

“I hope that there is a partner in my future when it’s the right time. I think we’re a communal species — we’re not supposed to be alone — although I’ve gotten very comfortable alone — me and my seven dogs. My aunt gave me a pillow that says ‘I sleep with dogs’ and I do, but maybe I can make a little room in the king-size bed.”

Once a busy movie star, nowadays Moore spends most of her time in her Idaho mansion, surrounded by little dogs. It’s the sweetest kind of chaos.

I don’t know about you, but if I had the resources, I’d get 9 dogs and a mansion for them to live in too. Maybe we can’t all afford to do this, but the most relatable trait a celebrity can have (in my opinion) is being a dog lover.

A new house is a significant investment. There are many things to consider while settling into a new bedroom, yard, or even neighborhood. However, one online user recently revealed how she simultaneously bought a new house and adopted the dog of the former owners.

Misty Ann, from Livingston, Texas, uploaded a video in February while driving to her new house and recording from the front before coming upon Ranger, an elderly dog.

The text overlay in the film, which has received more than 3.2 million views, says: “When you buy a house and adopt the late owners’ dog… You won’t be alone anymore Ranger.”

Misty Ann told Newsweek: “When I looked at the house to purchase the late owners’ son explained that due to his own medical needs he could not take ranger home with him but had been going to feed him daily. It had been approximately three months that Ranger had been staying alone—I offered to take ranger as part of the house purchase since mostly everything was left as it was when the owner passed.”

The American Association for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals estimates that every year, 6.3 million companion animals are brought into shelters in the United States. They predict that 4.1 million animals from shelters, including 2 million dogs and 2.1 million cats, are adopted every year.

TikTok users congratulated Misty Ann for welcoming the senior dog into her new home and flocked to the comments section to express their happiness.

“This brought tears to my eyes. Thanks for taking care of Ranger,” said one commenter. Another said: “I’m happy you’ve got a kind heart, most people would get rid of the dog. Thank you for accepting him into your life as part of your family.”

Misty Ann has continued to post videos of Ranger, TikTok’s favorite senior dog, including recordings of him whining when told he needs to go outside and his endearing reaction each time his new owners leave the house. She frequently updates her followers on Ranger’s progress.

“Ranger has been a handful. He is quite stubborn and set in his ways,” said Misty Ann. “He is demanding and likes lots of treats. He has been a pleasure to have and has made us feel comfortable and welcome in a previously unknown house. He runs the neighborhood without a leash and is known by the neighbors as the friendly watchdog.”

“We did the same thing when we got our home. Two beautiful dogs and a herd of cattle. The dogs have since passed away but I loved those dogs so much,” another viewer remarked.

Ranger is pretty old, has a sadly sick heart, and may have lung cancer, according to Misty Ann’s report from Ranger’s veterinarian. “But for now he is doing well,” she added. “The outpour of love for Ranger has been overwhelming and a great thing to be part of.”

The post No One Wanted This ‘Grumpy Old Man’ But Then Someone Treated Him Like A King appeared first on G2a-ltc.

One afternoon in Essex, England, a Good Samaritan was out for a stroll when they came across an abandoned crate by the side of the road. They were astonished to see who was inside.

In the container, 20 adorable young puppies slept together, waiting for someone to see them. The kind bystander immediately acted after realizing they needed to assist. They got in touch with the RSPCA in the hope that they could help, and the rescue promptly dispatched two inspectors to pick up the puppies and get them as soon as possible to a veterinarian.

“When I was told how many puppies there were, I actually thought there was a mistake,” Sian Ridley, an inspector with the RSPCA, said in a press release. “I couldn’t believe that someone had abandoned 20 puppies! They were all quite scared and timid when we arrived and it was just heartbreaking to see them all huddled in the one cage — they looked a pitiful sight.”

The veterinarians revealed that the puppies were likely from several separate litters as they examined them. Although no one is certain of their breed, many believe they are some poodle cross. The veterinarians were concerned about the puppies’ health because they were all tiny, weighing less than a bag of sugar. Fortunately, even though abandoned, most of them were healthy.

“I want to say a huge thank you to all the passersby who stayed to help these pups and also to the vets who were able to take on the care of [the] pups over a weekend at such short notice,” Ridley said. “It is difficult to know where these [puppies] have come from … I suspect that [they] may be [from] a puppy farm.”

They were named Albert, Boris, Casper, Dylon, Elenor, Freddie, Guinevere, Hank, Irene, Jeremiah, Kaleb, Luna, Morris, Nevel, Oliver, Peter, Quinton, Rupert, and Saffron since there were so many puppies. The puppies, whose ages range from 6 to 8 weeks, are now maturing and learning how to be playful young puppies.

Veterinary staff members who have been caring for the puppies since they were saved have already offered many of them homes. They are all presently housed in foster homes and will move into their permanent residences when they are ready.

Everyone participating in this rescue was astounded by the number of abandoned puppies. Fortunately, they were discovered and will now live good lives with incredible families.

“Times are tough at the moment, but abandoning tiny puppies like this is so irresponsible and cruel. Please, please never abandon your pet but ask for help before things get so desperate,” Ridley said.
