A young puppy was hit hard on the head by his cruel owner and then thrown out onto the street. He deserved love and affection but instead saw the worst of humanity at such a young age. He needed medical attention immediately but so many people just walked by as if he didn’t exist.
Thankfully a kind woman saw that he was in pain and wanted to take him in from the cruel streets. She and her son were concerned about his trauma. At such a young age, and small size, a head injury could lead to permanent brain damage. They try to pick him up but he’s very out of it. He keeps curling back up, wanting to hide from the world.

A few hours later, after coming home with the woman, he tries to make eye contact with her. His sweet little face keeps searching for hers but he struggles. His head injury makes focusing difficult. He’s trying to thank his rescuers in his own way and it’s quite remarkable.

As soon as the vet can see the puppy, they head over. The vet runs several tests on the puppy and explains that time will tell how much he will heal. They just have to be patient. Realistically, a brain injury like this can go either way. He can heal and live a somewhat normal life or his injuries could get worse. His rescuer cries because she’s already so in love with the puppy. He needs to live and he needs to thrive! The puppy then thanks the vet with lots of kisses.

Back at his rescuer’s house, the puppy eats and drinks and plays when he’s up to it. Each day he makes progress and it’s a fantastic sign! The best part of all is when he begins to feel well enough to wag his tail. The little guy is so happy which means he’s no longer in pain.

In a matter of weeks, the puppy has made tremendous strides. He can make eye contact and his vision is much better. In fact, the vet said that the puppy’s progress even amazed him! The little warrior is so loved and bonded to his new human friends that his rescuer refuses to part with him (and who can blame her?!) You have to see his transformation for yourself. It’s so heartwarming. Scroll on down and check out this incredible rescue.
