Staff at the Washington County-Johnson City Animal Shelter tried their best for six months to get Roscoe to bust out of his shell. The emotionless dog never smiled or wagged his tail and just kept to himself at all times. As far as they were concerned, they just assumed the pup had no personality.
Living on the streets for years did the dog no favors. But it was when the shelter decided to post the dog to Facebook that things would change. They got a response from a man via social media saying, “I think that’s my dog and he’s been missing for three years.”
So they arranged a visit and sat back to watch in anticipation. Roscoe was a bit hesitant at first, but the dog who’d never shown or expressed joy opened up after a few minutes when he realized this was his dad! This was the missing piece in his life, and it made him a totally different dog. Watch the special reunion below! ?
