It was Brownie’s first time ever being in a household when he spent two weeks in foster care with the Analores.

“He was terrified at first,” Molly Analore told The Dodo. “He didn’t know what to do.”

Brownie received a second shot at a Colorado shelter after four adoptions there had failed. But in order to wait for transportation, he needed a temporary place to stay. Analore and her family filled that requirement.

As Brownie grew accustomed to being house-trained, the first few days were challenging. But as soon as the pup understood he was secure and surrounded by love, something in him began to shift. Brownie quickly mastered the art of expressing his requirements to his new family within just a few days.

“Eventually he would alert me if he had to go to the bathroom,” Analore said. “He would sit by the door and cry.”

Brownie’s usual communication styles were easy for Analore to pick up on, but one night, he did something wholly unexpected. The perceptive dog attempted to warn his new mother that she also needed aid instead of telling her that he did.

Before fostering Brownie, Analore started having episodes of lightheadedness and fainting. Analore began to feel ill on one of her nights with Brownie, and the devoted dog noticed it immediately away.

“He’s not big on cuddling a lot, but he just jumped right on my couch, sat next to me and started cuddling me,” Analore said. “I thought, ‘That’s a little strange,’ but then didn’t think anything else of it.”

Analore held Brownie for a bit before deciding to rest down in bed because she was still feeling under the weather. Brownie, who typically maintained a certain amount of distance, would not let Analore leave his sight.

“When I went to bed, he was outside my door screaming his head off, scratching at the door and headbutting the door,” Analore said. “That wasn’t normal for him. It was almost like he was trying to say, ‘Something’s wrong, let me in now.’”

Confounded by his actions, Analore promptly got out of bed and invited her attentive foster dog into the bedroom.

“He jumped right on my bed, sat next to me with his head on my chest, then once my heart stopped racing and I felt better, he just got up and left,” Analore said.

Analore claimed that Brownie had never previously displayed that behavior. He then stopped when her brief period of fainting was through.

“He just did it all on his own,” Analore said. “He’s such a good boy.”

As originally intended, Brownie moved on to his ultimate sanctuary after spending two weeks with the Analore family. His new shelter has him in foster care right now, but the Analore family wants to permanently reunite him with them.

“A dog like that only comes around once in a lifetime,” Analore said. “The connection was so strong.”

Axel enjoys making new friends. On his daily walks to the park, the 2-and-a-half-year-old Rottweiler seeks to make friends with everyone he meets. Sometimes the kind-hearted dog leaves without a single companion.

Axel’s mom Rianna said, “This sort of thing happens nearly every time we leave the house. People judge him by the way he looks before they even get to know him.”

Axel was recently taking a stroll around his favorite park when, yet again, his cries for attention went unanswered.

According to Rianna, “[He] wanted to greet everyone with a big smile to say hello to all the people. He didn’t understand why all the other dogs were getting such a fuss and why no one wanted to stroke him.”

When the unhappy puppy realized the difference in attention, he appeared disappointed.

“He felt really left out, and when he got home, he climbed onto my chest for a cuddle,” Rianna said.

Rianna appreciates the social media fans that show her pet dog the same love she does, despite how Axel is treated in the outside world.

“He loves everyone he meets and taps people with his needy paws so they hold his hand,” Rianna said. “If you let go, he’ll put his paw right back in your hand! He is a big, gentle giant whose favorite thing is making people smile, but sometimes he forgets how big he is and I have to remind him he can’t fit on everyon

Axel was given to Rianna when he was 8 weeks old to go with her other dog, Nala. Rianna claimed that despite Axel’s size, he still sees himself as a puppy who loves to be loved.

Rianna stated, “This boy is a cuddle monster. He would spend all day snuggled up to me. He also does this funny thing where he wraps one paw around your waist and puts his head on your shoulder to give you a real-life hug! ”

The compassionate dog can also tell when Rianna is distressed and will bring her his favorite toy or snuggle her. Rianna is aware of how big Axel’s heart is, regardless of how the other park visitors see it.

“Axel changed my life completely,” Rianna said. “He is my dream dog and the whole world. He fills me with happiness every day and makes me feel like the luckiest dog mum in the world!

When a puppy is born on the street, she and her mama already face challenges we can’t imagine. Her mom must find a safe place to care for her and her siblings. It must be warm and dry and free from any threats. Mom and her babies fight the elements and challenges as hard as they can. As the pups get older, they can then fend for themselves and mom knows this. She does all she can to help get her babies to that point.

Sadly, when a puppy is born with an obvious deformity, the mom will often reject her. In this puppy’s case, she was not born in an animal hospital or with a loving family. She was born on the streets and because her little body is missing its front legs, she was left all alone.

Thankfully, this little angel was found quickly by a kind human who took her in and gave her the life she deserves. Now she’s growing up fast. Each day is her best day! She loves to scoot around and she’s also learning to run on her hind legs. This little warrior can’t get enough playtime.

Erika Poremski, the mother of eight-month-old Viviana, got out for a few minutes to get something from her vehicle. When she looked around to go back inside, she discovered that her house was on fire, burning away at the lives of both her child and cherished dog Polo.

Erika, in tears, bandaged from minor injuries, describes the traumatic event to WBAL TV News:

“I just heard her crying and I couldn’t get to her. I tried really hard, everyone in the neighborhood tried. They were kicking the doors in and kicking the windows out. I couldn’t (get her out). Nobody could.”

Firefighters arrived on the scene quickly. They ran into the house to save Viviana and Polo, but what they discovered was inexplicable.

The crew made their approach into Viviana’s room. On the floor near Viviana was Polo, who had fallen on top of her. He wrapped his body around her and, like a blanket, covered her entirely to shield her from the fire. Polo sadly did not survive. His body was terribly injured in the flames. The devoted dog put himself before his human sister’s life to preserve it. He gave up his existence to protect something more valuable than his own life.

Erika was quoted:

“She only had burns on her side because of it. He stayed with her the whole time in the bedroom and wouldn’t even come downstairs to get out the door. He was my first baby and now I lost him. And I’m just praying I don’t lose her.”

Viviana, who has placed in a medically induced coma after being injured in the fire, was undergoing evaluation. But she was fortunate to only have burns on one side of her body owing to the valiant dog’s quick action. Because, he knew exactly what he had to do to save her life and was barely exposed to the flames because the brave dog knew what to do, what he felt he had to do, at all costs.

The post Mom Can’t Reach 8-Month-Old Baby Caught In Fire With Puppy, Dog ‘Sacrificed’ Himself To Save Her appeared first on G2a-ltc.

Marley the puppy began his life on Earth with the worst possible start, leaving his soul damaged and beaten. He was brought into this world on the mean streets, but his homeless mother dog did her best to care for him. But when Marley’s mother was killed by a vehicle, his little bubble of security burst. The sobbing puppy witnessed his beloved mama died in front of him before finally accepting it.

He was so startled, terrified, and haunted that he refused to leave his mother’s dead body on the busy road. Even when help arrived, he was too disturbed to believe it. When they moved him, he tried to bite them. But thankfully, one of the rescuers was able to save him before being hit by a vehicle.

He was shy around people, hiding behind bookshelves and tables to avoid being seen. When someone came near him, he would turn his back to the wall and curl up his body in a last-ditch attempt to conceal himself. He was terrified, lonely, and bewildered at the core, and no amount of compassion made sense to him

Marley’s loneliness was made worse by the fact that his two workers were bitten several times in their bids to win Marley’s confidence. He was consumed with sadness and despaired of being seen, but the employees were adamant about getting him out of it. They began bringing other canines into his life, and this helped him relax somewhat. His progress was excruciatingly slow, but he eventually matured into a modest dog after months of therapy.

When Marley was adopted into his new family, he believed he had discovered a secure haven of contentment. However, the “forever” period was only a few months long. Marley is quite sensitive, and his canine sibling never warmed up to him. His new family became weary of him and gave him back to the shelter after they could no longer deal with his suppressed emotional scars surfacing every now and then.

Marley was heartbroken to be back in the shelter, and the terrible upheaval shattered him even more. His custodians were furious because they knew Marley had worked very hard to get his life back on track with a smile on his face. They relocated the lovely 1-year-old to a cozy foster home, where he set out to overcome his obstacles using the support of his intelligent foster parent.

Marley’s life has been a tragic train wreck, and his past will always be a part of him. But he is still a strong survivor who has transformed himself into an amiable puppy with an unimpaired capacity to love others. We hope that he may discover a good family that accepts him fully and provides him with the security he deserves.

People still pass by the stray dogs without noticing them, but some people are trying to help. One woman returned for more water not long after finding two of the most stunning pups, setting off a chain reaction she never thought possible.

Mama dog had grown up on the streets her entire life. Sure, she fought back, but she had no desire to alter her lot in life. She took excellent care of her pups and guided them to a shaded area where kind people would find them.

Mama knew the moment she turned back to get one last look at her dog, she was doing the right thing; Her sacrifice will never be forgotten. After seeing her dogs picked up by rescuers, Mama wandered away.

The puppies are happy to see these kind humans who happen to have food and water. They wag their tails and say hello. In preparation for taking them to the vet clinic, they need a flea bath!

The rescuers and vet staff are very happy with the puppies’ condition. Mom took excellent care of them both. Their weight is good, their coats are shiny. And they are really happy little boys! The rescuers and staff post lots of photos on their social media pages.

Adopting a dog is a big decision but for most families, it really is the BEST decision! Dogs can add so much to our lives and as we know, there are so many waiting for forever homes.

During an investigation, a 5-year-old dog named Drove was found tied up inside an abandoned house. He was taken in by the Humane Society of Memphis & Shelby (HSM&S). As soon as the staff met Drove, he won them all over! His sweet, calm nature and loyal disposition would certainly make him the perfect family pet yet he was passed over time and time again for 7 months!

Then something magical happened!

Newly married couple Morgan and Tyler came in looking to adopt a new dog. Morgan had just lost her Boxer of thirteen years. They both wanted to adopt a rescue so they drove to HSM&S and that is when they met Drove!

It was love at first sight!

After all the paperwork was completed, Drove, now renamed Samson (Sammy for short!) had the best wake-up call ever! His parents were ready to take him home.

A shelter staff member recalled the adorable moment saying, “He’s just sleeping so sweetly with no idea he’s going to be going home soon!”

“Since the first night we brought him home, he hates to leave our site,” Morgan said. “If my husband or I get up to grab some water, or leave the room for a second, he follows us to make sure we are not leaving.”

People all over the internet have been touched by the tale of dedicated mama dog, Celeste. Despite being calm, gentle, and loving, two-year-old Celeste was heartlessly abandoned while pregnant. She was forced to live and give birth unprotected on the streets.

Then, due to her difficult set of circumstances, she practically wasted away to nothing as she did everything within her power to care for her precious puppies.

Life’s not easy for a dog living on the streets. Nevermind being forced to birth, feed, and then keep five puppies safe on top of it all. It’s no surprise that Celeste was so severely emaciated when she and her five puppies were found. Every spare nutrient was spent keeping her puppies’ bellies full and keeping herself warm in the winter cold.

“She was so thin and those puppies were just nursing like crazy, and she just did her job as a mom even though she was starving to death,” said Elaine, Celeste’s foster mom.

But despite their harsh start to life, Celeste’s puppies were found to be in near-perfect health. It was Celeste’s body that bore the wear of starvation as she fought to keep her five puppies alive. The devoted mom had done everything she could to keep them safe and healthy for an estimated five months. It was finally Celeste’s turn to experience a little TLC.

“Celeste would rather waste away than let her puppies starve. After a difficult life living outside, she has given everything to make sure her puppies are ok and it’s time that she is given the same love,” said the BC SPCA.

It felt like fate when Celeste and her puppies were welcomed into the home of BC SPCA foster mom Elaine Nelson-Hosak. Celeste came into her life shortly after the death of her best friend. It was almost as if the timing was pre-planned. They needed each other. Celeste and her puppies needed love and care, and who better to fill the ache of a broken heart than the unconditional love of a canine companion?

Then, slowly but surely, and thanks to a strictly regimented “refeeding” plan, Celeste was able to gain weight and build strength. Her body responded well to having six small, nutrient-dense meals per day, and it wasn’t long before she was at a healthy 90 pounds. Plus, four out of her five puppies found forever homes close-by, and they have already had an adorable reunion.

From the way she responded so well to treatment, and because she bonded so deeply with her foster mom, it became overwhelmingly clear that she had already found her forever home. Now Celeste, more affectionately called “Momma,” is living life as a pampered pup, enjoying snuggles with her family on the couch, and keeping cozy by the fire. It’s quite the contrast from her harsh life on the streets. No longer is she wasting away, but she’s finally where she belongs. Momma is finally warm, well-loved, and safe.
