Aragon, a rescue pup, lives in the mountains of Greece and would often take walks in the area together with her fur mom.

They would also often find empty cardboard boxes. The boxes were empty since these little creatures are defenseless against predators. Luckily, on one of their walks, Aragon found a litter of live kittens.

Aragon’s fur-mom is a volunteer at the Second Chance Animal Rescue Society (SCARS), so she knows exactly that these babies need help. She wanted to make a video that shows how alarming that these animals were dumped on the mountain.

On their walk, she brought a camera to capture some footage for her video. She expected to capture a few litters or even empty boxes again but unexpectedly, Aragon pulled her mom and found a litter of kittens inside.

The kittens survived long enough and were saved. They took the kitties home and instantly, Aragon acts as their foster dad. He would make sure that everything they needed are provided.

The kittens were also checked by a veterinarian and were taken care of by SCARS, but Aragon invested more affection and care than anyone else.

Aragon would cuddle and play with the kittens. He gave them the attention a father would do to his children.

What would you do if you hear a tiny little kitten meowing for help? Delaware-based Morgan McKenzie was on her property when she discovered a hollowed-out log that had a little gray and white kitten inside. It was crying for help. McKenzie left the kitten where she’d found it, thinking that the mom would return.

However, as night approached, she went out to the log once more to check on the kitten and found it still completely alone. That is when she finally realized that the kitten was in need of help.

McKenzie said to The Dodo, “When it started to get dark, we went back to make sure she was gone, but we could still hear her little cries. I was so glad we picked her up because I don’t think she would have made it. She was only a day or two old. She couldn’t see, her ears were still folded and she was starving.”

McKenzie decided to name the sweet little thing Polly, after Polly Pocket since she was so tiny she could fit in her pocket. Poor little Polly was riddled with fleas, so McKenzie decided to give the tiny kitten a bath in the sink. Curious as to the commotion, McKenzie’s 12-year-old Lab, Paxton, came over to investigate.

McKenzie revealed, “Paxton got to meet Polly right after her bath. He fell in love with her at first because he got to clean her after every bottle feed and she loved it because she didn’t know any different.”

It didn’t take long for the two to bond, with the big dog licking the tiny kitten. It was so precious how well he looked after her.

“She used to stand as still as possible until she could hear his footsteps,” McKenzie shared. “She would go bolting over to where she thought she heard him.”

“I don’t think she ever knew any better so Polly thinks this is all just normal,” McKenzie said. “She grooms him, he grooms her. I don’t think she knows she is a cat.”

The two have become inseparable and spend all their time together – either cuddling on the couch, playing, or eating. And they look so cute together.

Since being rescued, Polly has grown a bit and is now 5 months old, while Paxton is almost at the 13-year mark. Regardless of their big age difference, these two friends are still as close as ever. With Polly now a playful kitten, this old pooch is showing that he’s got the patience to spare in spades – which is probably a good thing.

As McKenzie said, “The two of them still adore each other. She’s becoming more of the pesky little sister who loves to follow him around and attack the toys he is playing with.”

Officer Michelle Smith of Anderson Animal Control in South Carolina received a call regarding a homeless dog who had been barking and howling for a few hours, as if he were trying to get someone’s attention.

Officer Smith went to the scene to see what was the matter. When she arrived, she was absolutely shocked at what she saw.

At the bottom of an embankment along a ravine, the homeless dog was nursing a tiny kitten!

Smith knew she couldn’t leave the dog and kitten there alone, otherwise they wouldn’t survive. So she scooped them both up and brought them to a local shelter.

The dog, a five-year-old Shih Tzu, was very protective over the little kitten and acted like her mother. The kitten felt comforted by the dog’s embrace, and the two of them were inseparable.

The most amazing part is that the dog was actually lactating and was able to legitimately nurse the kitten! Although the dog hadn’t given birth, her lactating was a result of a “pseudo pregnancy.”

Pseudo pregnancy, also known as false pregnancy, can mimic symptoms of a true pregnancy, including mammary gland enlargement with or without the production of milk.

In this dog’s case, she developed milk, which is the sole reason this kitten survived. The dog literally saved this kitten’s life.

We often associate big dogs with being big and tough scary monsters – at least that’s what Hollywood has made them out to be. But in reality, big dogs are actually so sweet and gentle and very, very chill. Big dogs make wonderful pets and get along with humans and other animals.

This was the case with Ruby Jane – a five-year-old bloodhound who is owned by vet tech Stephanie Vice and Matthew, her husband. Ruby Jane has lived with over 100 foster animals over the years. But one of the animals that Ruby Jane has taken a liking to is a little five-week-old American Wirehair kitten named Bondie.

“Is that your baby, Jane? Is that your baby you are you trying to pet?” Stephanie remarks in the Facebook video. “Say, ‘It’s OK.’ Say, ‘It’s OK little cat — it’s just a bath.’”

Stephanie uploaded the sweet video to Facebook late last week and since then has gone onto become a viral sensation. It has managed to amass almost nine million views, and you can see why. It’s so cute to watch the big doggie comfort the little kitty during bath time.

According to the couple, Blondie – along with his two siblings – were from a local SPCA no-kill shelter. The Vices are planning to foster all three, as well as other kittens until they’re all ready to be adopted out to their forever homes. The couple is very proud of all their fostering work, and it’s also nice to see them doing so – not to mention the bond between Blondie and Ruby Jane is just the cutest thing ever.
