Formerly Blind Dog Is So Happy To See His Dad’s Face Again After Surgery

This dog, Bob, had been living in a hidden realm for a while. In both of Bob’s eyes, a minor case of cataracts ultimately got worse until he was completely blind.

The fact that Bob had lost his vision harmed him.

Bob’s veterinarian, Mércia Amaro said, “He became quieter, afraid of bumping into furniture. He could no longer run to greet his owner when he came home, and he always loved to welcome him.

Bob was sad to see that his father’s visage was now only a distant memory. But that state wouldn’t last indefinitely.

Amaro is a veterinary ophthalmologist who focuses on canine eyes. She was aware that, despite Bob’s seeming helplessness regarding his situation, cataract surgery could restore his vision. After consulting with Bob’s father, an appointment was made for surgery last week.

And at that point, everything was altered. Bob’s entire universe suddenly had its curtain lifted.

“Right after the operation, he already showed encouraging signs,” according to Amaro. “He kept looking up at us as if to say, ‘I can see! ’

But Bob had one person, in particular, he was eager to see: his father. The two met up again the next day:

Bob finally recognized the man whose face he had been missing the most for the first time in months. His spirit, which had been waning, suddenly flowered once more.

“He totally transformed,” Amaro said. “There was so much joy. It was very moving.”

Previously a place of hidden difficulties and the scene of his dimming vision, Bob is now recovering at home.
