If this Christmas e-card doesn’t put you in the holiday spirit, I don’t know what will! Watch as an adorable little pup decorates his doghouse and sets out the cookies and milk for Santa. Now all he has to do is wait and see if his Christmas wish comes true. 😉

After stringing the lights around his doghouse, the pup hangs his stocking by the entrance. Next he slides a plate of cookies out in front of the doghouse along with a glass of milk. The dog stands on his hind legs and lets his Christmas wish be known.

Now for the waiting game. It’s hard to sleep on Christmas Eve with all of the excitement going on, so the dog figures it won’t hurt to have one of the cookies. After filling his belly and pacing around a little bit, the pup’s off to dreamland.

And that’s when Santa arrives! The special moment is capped off by Santa making the dog’s Christmas wish come true. This will be one happy pup when he wakes up on Christmas day! 🙂

Every year the Animal Rescue League of Iowa sets up Trees of Life in the lobbies of their 7 shelter locations where friendly humans can drop off donations of food, supplies, toys and treats.

It is a cherished tradition and the area communities certainly haven’t let the animals down this year. Check out the haul underneath the tree at the main office in Des Moines!

This week, the holiday spirit got the best of the shelter staff and they decided to give all the dogs and cats early Christmas gifts. They allowed them to explore the piles of swag under the tree and choose their own toy!

The pure joy of these adoptable cuties was captured on video and it is just too sweet for words!

What could possibly be better than the sheer holiday bliss of this video? Finding out that four of the dogs and one of the cats have found their forever homes! Snoop, Hemi, Boss, Jango and Luanne will all be spending Christmas day beneath their very own Christmas trees!

All of the Iowa Animal Rescue League locations will be accepting donations from their Wish List for their Tree of Life project through the end of the month – but what these shelter cuties really want for Christmas is to be adopted. Check out all of the IARL available pets!
