Living by the woods and being so close to nature can be a very fulfilling experience for a person. The woman in this video is living a fairy tale life each morning. Not only does she live nestled in beautiful nature, but she also makes the most of it by feeding animals in the wild.

One day, the woman encountered a special wild deer from the woods. The lonely baby deer was so loving and cuddly that the woman decided to befriend him and care for him. From that day on, the woman lets out a call into the wild every morning, and the deer comes running to her within minutes!

We get a glimpse of this unique bond between the woman and the deer. The deer sees the woman as a foster mother and a protective shield. He greets her with hugs the moment he sees her. As the woman prepares his feeding bottle, the deer patiently waits beside her just like a little kid!

It is delightful to watch the woman feed the bottle to the deer. The hungry deer slurps up the entire bottle within seconds. What a cutie!

When a tiny puppy enters the world, she cannot fend for herself. She needs her mother to protect her and feed her. Sadly, this tiny pup was ripped from her mother and beaten by a savage individual. The puppy was then left on her own with no one in sight.

The little victim lay on the ground with open wounds. Her wounds attracted over a thousand maggots that embedded into her body. They continued to eat away at her flesh. She desperately needed a guardian angel to step in or she would lose her life to infection.

Thankfully, someone saw the little pup and took her straight to the vet. The Good Samaritan named the puppy Lora. Once Lora was at the vet, they didn’t hesitate. She needed urgent care. First, they shaved Lora’s wound area so it could be treated properly. It was then irrigated and cleansed of all the maggots.

Luckily, Xrays revealed that Lora’s hind legs weren’t broken but she would need lots of physical therapy. Her wounds also had to be watched closely. Even on antibiotics, an infection could still be an issue. Everyone at the vet clinic fell in love with the little pup. She was always so brave.

The clinic reached out to a local woman and asked if she could be Lora’s medical foster mom. She agreed! The puppy would sleep in a nice home and return to the vet as often as needed. Even though this was great news, the vet soon realized that Lora is completely blind and deaf. Lora was also diagnosed with some liver issues, but regardless of the news, no one was giving up on Lora.

As if Lora didn’t have enough challenges, the vet discovered that she also has no sense of smell. With Lora being blind and deaf, her sense of smell would help her navigate the world. This was a blow for sure. There would be many challenges ahead for Lora but she was so loved now. And love can truly make a difference. Her medical foster mom is currently doing all she can to help Lora thrive.

A dog’s love has no limits. Many canines, especially a Nashville pup named Zoey, seem to be willing to help anyone. An ill fawn wandered onto Zoey’s property, but instead of getting protective, the pup sympathized with the small creature. She helped her human look after the baby deer and offered endless amounts of cuddles and kisses to the fragile animal.

Now, thanks to the generous help from the dog and her family, the deer is headed off to receive professional care. Zoey’s kindness might have even saved the fawn’s life!

An Unexpected Guest

Musician Pat Pollifrone from the band Miller Holler found the tiny deer hanging out in his yard all alone. He knew that wild animals should stay in their natural habitats if possible, so he brought the fawn back into the woods. Yet, the fawn just couldn’t stay away.

“Found this little sweetheart yesterday in the yard so we took her into the woods. Came out this morning and she was laying in the driveway,” Pollifrone wrote on Instagram. “So I guess we have a deer now .”

Pollifrone called the fawn Bambi. He offered her some water and treated some of her wounds, including an infection around her eye caused by ticks. It wasn’t long before Zoey noticed the deer and wanted to help out too. Zoey kept checking on Bambi, giving her kisses, and cuddling with her. It was the most heartwarming sight.

Bambi is free to return to the wild at any time, but as long as she’s still around, Pollifrone is determined to help. He knows he’s not a deer expert, though. So, he searched for someone more qualified to care for Bambi.

Safe Space for Bambi

Unfortunately, none of the animal rescues he contacted were equipped to care for a young deer. Other wildlife rehabilitation centers were also difficult to reach. So, he continued to give her the best care possible, with the help of Zoey, of course.

“We will continue to care for the baby until mama comes back,” Pollifrone said. “She is doing SO MUCH BETTER! Pooping, peeing, taking goats milk. Eye infection is clearing up and the ticks have left her alone.”

Finally, Gibson County Goat Ranch offered to care for Bambi. Zoey and the fawn might miss each other dearly, but it’s what’s best for Bambi. Hopefully, after her time at the goat farm, she can be re-released into the wild. But, for now, she will just focus on healing. She was so lucky to have stumbled upon the kind home of Pollifrone and Zoey.
