Matilda, a beautiful Pit Bull puppy, has cerebellar hypoplasia. According to the NIH, “Cerebellar hypoplasia is a neurological condition in which the cerebellum—the part of the brain that coordinates movement—is smaller than usual or not completely developed.” The condition causes Matilda to wobble while she’s walking.

Lee from The Asher House met the tenacious pup in the shelter. He is completely confident that Matilda will thrive, no matter her obstacles. Lee happily brings Matilda back home. Once she arrives at The Asher House, she’s all about the cuddles! The pair embrace one another as if they’re the only two beings left on earth. Next, it’s time for a good ol’ fashion play session with some pawsome toys! Matilda’s wobble makes her tumble about as she frolics, and it’s just about the cutest thing ever!

When it’s time for Lee to introduce Matilda to the pack, the Pittie can’t contain herself! She’s so happy to have a giant group of puppy support (who, of course, LOVE to play!) She plays with her new siblings, celebrating her life free from the confines of the animal shelter.

In a heartwarming tale that defied the odds, a Golden Retriever named Naoise (pronounced Neesha) was found and rescued by two walkers in Ireland’s Wicklow Mountains after being missing for two agonizing weeks. The story of Naoise’s survival and subsequent reunion with her family brings warmth to our hearts, even on the coldest of February days.

Ciara Nolan and Jean-Francois Bonnet, the heroic duo behind the rescue, stumbled upon Naoise during a treacherous walk in the snow-covered mountains. Jean-Francois described the conditions as bitterly cold, snowy, and windy, with poor visibility. As they reached near the summit, Ciara suddenly exclaimed, “There is a dog, there is a dog!” They discovered Naoise curled up against a rock, petrified and on the verge of freezing.

Moved by compassion, Ciara and Jean-Francois immediately wrapped the shivering dog in warm clothing and embarked on the arduous journey back to safety. Despite Naoise’s weakened state, they attempted to encourage her to walk, but she lacked the strength to stand. Using a scarf, they securely fastened Naoise to a backpack, which enabled them to carry her for four to five hours until they reached the road.

When Ciara contacted Naoise’s owners, Erina O’Shea Goetelen and her family, with the incredible news, they were overwhelmed with joy and disbelief. The family had lost two dogs in the Wicklow Mountains while off-leash, as the dogs bolted upon sighting a deer. While one dog had been found after a few days, they had all but given up hope of ever finding Naoise again.

The remarkable rescue efforts of Ciara, a former student of Mount Anville Secondary School in Dublin, were recognized and celebrated by the school on social media.

Upon Naoise’s return, it was apparent that the eight-year-old Labrador had endured a harrowing ordeal. She had lost a significant amount of weight, and her time in the mountains had caused dermatitis. However, with the love and care provided by her family, Naoise has been steadily recovering. Ms. O’Shea Goetelen shared that Naoise is “doing well” and happily wagging her tail at home. Although she is not yet ready to embark on more walks, her resilience shines through as she basks in the comfort of her loving environment.

Now named Lena, Dutchess has settled into her new family with ease. She recently graduated from level one in doggie training classes and has become an integral part of her adoptive family’s life. Although she still has some mischievous habits like counter surfing, Lena’s owners are committed to working on her behavior. They describe her as a sweet and playful companion who brings joy to their lives.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office was alerted to a Pit Bull loose on the streets, and neighbors were concerned. When law enforcement arrived, the dog did something that no one would have guessed. The locals were worried and concerned about a “dangerous” Pit Bull running wild.

The police department stated the following:

“This morning, deputies responded to an Animal call in South District. A large pit bull was running around and neighbors were worried,” the department said.

“Upon arrival, the deputy discovered that this wonderful dog was just out looking for friends to play with.”

“After sufficient play time and fun, deputies were able reunite the dog with his owners.”

“A gate was accidentally left open and this beautiful dog was able to be taken back to his loving home.”

When teachers go to school in the morning, they anticipate seeing kids, buses, and the commotion of a new day. They never expect to see a dog waiting in front of their building. That’s precisely what occurred at one Houston, Texas elementary school. The dog was actually sitting outside the main entrance of the institution.

Caleb Schaffer, a teacher in the small town of Columbia Falls, Montana, arrived at work one morning to discover a lovely dog waiting for him at the door. The dog wagged its tail at Schaffer, but he had to go to class, so he walked by the animal. He couldn’t stop thinking about the Lab mix who was outside the school building, so he went back to see if anything had changed. Unfortunately, the dog was gone when he got there.

The dog was unsuccessful while being hunted by animal control. Sure enough, the next morning, the dog was again at the entrance, and Schaffer spotted him. The man repeated his actions, and the dog vanished once more later in the day. He did notice how terrible the dog’s skin looked and how he was whining and clawing at it.

Finally, on the third day, the dog was there and Schaffer performed some action. He walked to his automobile, called the dog in, and the hound climbed straight into the vehicle with him. He returned home with his wife so he could work since Schaffer could not maintain him. Despite this, he attempted to contact a number of rescue organizations. No one had space available. He took him to a local animal shelter where he received basic care and a wash before being handed over.

He named him Clive and sent pictures to the Urgent Shelter Pets of Houston Facebook page. Thankfully, Lucky Lab Rescue and Adoption saw the video and they arranged for a foster home. Schaffer tells the story to his students. In an interview with The Dodo, he said, “There are so many strays everywhere here. It’s given me an opportunity to talk about spaying, neutering, heartworm prevention, and the reality of shelters.”

The owner of a Husky named Finn went through a bad divorce and wanted to spite his wife. As a result, he left Finn tied up outside on a chain without water or shelter for two years, causing the poor dog to become severely malnourished. Eventually, ‘Pet Angels Rescue’ arrived and rescued Finn, but he was in a state of extreme emaciation.

The Husky was very tired, so he immediately fell asleep in the rescue vehicle and slept throughout the entire two-hour trip back to the shelter. Despite his health issues, he had a lot of energy and impressed everyone with his resilience. He began to anticipate his daily playtime and social interaction outside of his kennel!

The dog, now named Fonzie, had never received attention before and enjoyed it immensely. Gradually, he improved and his curly tail grew back with his fur. During his recovery, his adopters visited him frequently, and now he happily enjoys his new life in his forever home.

The post Man Ties Husky Out On Chain To ‘Waste Away’ After His Wife Divorces Him appeared first on G2a-ltc.

Learn about the heroic act of a UPS driver who saved a chained and emaciated Great Dane during his delivery route in Indiana. Gavin Crowsley noticed the dog on January 21, 2013, and stopped to investigate. The dog was tied up in a snowy yard with no food, water, or shelter, and was extremely malnourished. Crowsley reported the abuse to the Clay County Humane Society, who soon discovered that the pup was actually a Great Dane and weighed only 62 pounds, nearly 100 pounds less than he should have.

The Great Dane, later named Phoenix, was confiscated from his neglectful owners and taken for treatment. He was blind in one eye, completely deaf, and suffered from malnourishment, pneumonia, and frostbitten ears. However, Phoenix received the care he needed and was eventually adopted by a loving family who set up a Facebook page for him called Phoenix Fighters.

Phoenix’s story was shared on UPS’s Facebook page seven months later, where it was revealed that the recovering pup had been reunited with the man who saved him. Crowsley also got to meet Phoenix’s new mom, and the dog went on to live an eventful life. He became a therapy dog, helped raise money for cancer research and other abused dogs, and even made visits to nursing homes to cheer up residents.

Unfortunately, Phoenix suffered a setback in 2015 when he and his brother Rigs were poisoned and fell into a coma. Although he recovered, Phoenix later needed more surgery for a growth on his foot. However, Phoenix’s final years were spent playing, eating, and surrounded by the love of his foster family, including some kids to play with.

Phoenix passed away peacefully in his adopted mother’s arms on March 12, 2019. His story continues to inspire and serve as a call to action for all dog owners to fight against animal cruelty. The Phoenix Fighters Facebook page remains active, occasionally sharing updates on other animals in need. May Phoenix’s story remind us all to be better creatures and make the world a more beautiful place for dogs like him.
